That being said I offer my expertise and hope to educate some folks on the concept. I also would like everyone to know, we are a very environmentally friendly company. Our goal working with local non profit orginizations is to help reduce Green house gases, lighting is just one of those ways. Two very quick points I think are worth mentioning up front.

1 - 48" fluorescent tube has enough mercury in it to poison 7,000 gallons of water. (DOE website)

1 lb of coal= 1 KW of electricity, thats one 75 watt bulb on for 13.33 hours. (DOE website)

LED Lighting while not well known, is fast becoming a way for municipalities to save 50-75% on their energy costs. The fact is most buildings spend 40-50 percent of their facilities operating costs in lighting and related costs like cooling. What does cooling have to do with lighting you might ask? During the spring and summer months the second biggest culprit of operating costs is cooling. Cooling even a small building costs a lot of money, anybody with an Air conditioner can attest to that. Traditional lighting puts off 95% heat and only 5% light. LED Lighting puts out 95% light and 5% heat. 1 watt of lighting saved equals 4 watts of cooling. Those big A/C units can use a rest now and again, they are very expensive to replace.

Not only can the county save money on cooling and wattage/electrical usage but also Maintenance. LED's have a life expectancy of between 50,000-80,000 hours (depending on LED type, model, use/environment). With only 8760 hours in a year, even if those lights had to run 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Thats a long time in between servicing.

With LED fixtures like Street Lights, think of all the money that goes into those 2-3 man crews and those big bucket trucks. To change one little bulb, wouldn't have to so that for 50K hours+ with an LED fixture. LED street lights use 75% less energy on average wile still producing the same amount of light.

One of our most popular items for the business/commercial realm is our LED fluorescent replacement tubes. These tubes will fit your standard T12/T8 fixtures. They come in all sizes (2-8') and wattages. They use on average 50% less energy to light a space 12-15% brighter. With a light that is pleasing to the eyes.

LED Fluorescent replacement tubes:

Have no Mercury or Lead in them.

Use no Ballast to run them, they are direct voltage wiring.

Use 50%+ less energy to run.

Produce a better quality light, mimicking the daytime sun.

Make no humming, buzzing or no noise at all for that matter.

Do not flicker.

There are many inherent advantages to using LED technology to light the things around you. Our products our designed to either retrofit into your old fixture or be a simple direct replacement for cost effective installations.

We offer a leasing option for our customers also. With no up front out of pocket cost, we can start you on the path to savings on the first day. Our leases will cover product, shipping and installation. All wrapped up into a 48 month lease to own. Tax deductible as well.

The last part of our total solution is our Green Credit Program. We can have our professional green credit team quantify your energy savings and in turn figure your carbon offset. They can serialize the metric tons of carbon you are offsetting and serialize them on the worldwide open market. Every year you employ the LED lighting you will receive the credits for the carbon offset. Bought from you by another company that wants to become carbon neutral or have a smaller carbon footprint.

One problem on Government Websites for visitors is lack of
any evidence that their actions have made any difference or that
anyone is listening.

Communicating, via a site, that their
recommendations have led to a change may sway more people to
get involved. Thus, their actions are rewarded and everyone benifits.

This can build trust, and could result in more feedback, and even more transactions.
