All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

Back again this October is the very popular Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo. This family-friendly event will have your little ones trick-or-treating through the zoo down a half mile decorated trail.

Along the way, take a ride on the Wild Adventure Ride: Dracula’s Haunted Castle , visit the Amphibian Fun House to view some slithery and slimy creatures, or test your bravery playing Amphibian Fun Factor, a kid-friendly version of the popular “Fear Factor” show. There will be plenty of games and live entertainment for the entire family.

The Zoo Boo takes place on the evenings of October 16-18, 23-25 and 29-31. Make sure to purchase your tickets early, because this event does sell out. Tickets can be purchased in advance either online or at the zoo.  Tickets are $6 for ages 2 and up.
