All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place in the county. Read more.

Sometimes summer fun can be just going to a estate sale or a garage sale.

Thousands of people each year venture to the indoor/outdoor Annual Royal Oak Garage Sale at the Lafayette parking structure. On Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th vendors selling everything from Antuques to jewelry to sports memorabilia to clothing (and everything in between!) will be there at the 2009 edition. This annual fundraiser for the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce will start each day at 9:30 a.m. (the line up starts a bit before that!!!). There is also a food court next the the parking structure and many downtown stores will be having sidewalk sales.

$2 Admission - 12 & under free
