All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

Michigan's largest neighborhood festival, The 2009 Comerica Cityfest takes place July 1st – 5th. Last year over 500,000 people stopped by the New Center area to enjoy the food and culture rich entertainment. The party runs from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Family friendly, you can look forward to endless music on four stages, activities for children and over 40 Michigan restaurants selling “tastes” of their culinary delights.

The free entertainment on the main stage this year includes many formats of popular music including some of my favorites!!!
Todd Rundgren, The Veronicas, The Avett Brothers, De La Soul, 21:03 featuring Chris Clark, Mat Kearney, Bettye LaVette, Ray Parker Jr and Buddy Guy.
