All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

A event for miniature railroad fans young and old. All aboard! (part one of two posts)

Chi Town Station

Arriving on track #1 - One of America's largest "O" scale model railroad set up, The Chi-town Union Station recreates the age of modern rail with this 1000 car display. 22 trains are running simultaneously on over 6000 feet of track.
Owner Paul Bribbell recently said in a interview with the Grosse Pointe News, "We have one of the finest collections of passenger trains in the world — and a place to run them," about the scaled equivalent to almost 60 miles of full-size railroad.

Open weekends (Fri-Sun) through March 29th 2009, The Chi-Town Union Station model railroad is located at 8275 Cooley Lake Road in Commerce, Michigan.

Admission Adults $4 Kids $2 For more information, call (248) 613-9471.
