All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

Looking for a thilling rush in the cold?  The Fridge is a refridgerated tobboggan run that takes you swooshing down a 55-foot drop then along 1,000 feet at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour. Kids of just about all ages can ride the Fridge. Riders must be at least 30 inches tall and children under 43 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult to ride.

Traditional sledding is also available down a 10-foot incline. Warm up and chill out at the Lookout Lodge which features a fireplace, concessions, viewing areas, TV sets and restrooms.

The Fridge officially opens for the season on
Friday, December 19, 2008 (weather permitting).
