All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

Want to see one of Michigan’s largest Christmas parades?  Then check out the 57th Annual Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade which will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2 PM to 4 PM.  The parade will travel down Main Street and will feature floats, marching bands and a visit from Santa Claus.  After the parade, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Bordines Nursery from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm on Rochester Road in Rochester Hills, MI.

Channel 7 WXYZ-TV will be covering the parade live.

While you are there don’t miss The Big, Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester from 6 PM until midnight.  Storefronts up and down the street will shine brightly, decorated with holiday LED lights.
