All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

For those of you owning a truly classic vehicle and would like to join other auto enthusiasts on a exclusive fall driving tour, the Acorn Tour is right up your tree. This event hosted by the Walter P Chrysler Museum starts off with a continental breakfast and a tour of the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. From there, you and your car will wind through a few of Western Oakland County's tree covered roads.

Highlights of the tour will be:

  • Shuman's private vehicle museum (with a 1908 Maxwell) in Walled Lake
  • Lunch at Bay Point Golf Club
  • Tour of Cranbrook's Albert Kahn designed Arts & Crafts style home
  • Visit the Cranbrook Art Museum

You will finish your tour at the Cupcake Station in Birmingham.

Cost is $58 per person and a 45 year old or older car is required for the tour.

For more information call 248-944-0450 or visit the Walter P. Chrysler Museum.
