Fall is finally here, which means a brisk walk in the cool evening breeze and the turning of the leaves. It's also time for a quick trip out to one of the many metro area cider mills for a half gallon of chilled apple cider and a bag of donuts.
Many of the area mills and farms offer various products for sale such as caramel and candied apples, jams and my personal favorite, fresh apple pies (yum, yum!!).
Pumpkins, corn stalks, gourds and Indian corn are available at many of the farms and are a great way to decorate your home for the fall.
A wide range of family entertainment, ranging from a children’s corn maze, hay rides and a petting zoo are available at some of the farms.
