All About "Around the Town"

The Around the Town blog contains metro area events that either we've (the bloggers) attended in the past, would like to attend, plan to attend or just sound interesting. It is not  a complete event calender or is focused on only events that take place  in the county. Read more.

Love art, music and food? Then Chrysler Arts, Beats and Eats is the perfect way to spend this Labor Day weekend. The festival takes place Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1, 2008.

If you are looking for some original artwork, you'll find it in downtown Pontiac. Talented artists from both the United States and Canada will line the streets offering some of their most unique pieces.

This year's festival will also include over 200 local and national music performers on 8 stages. There is something for everyone including jazz, rock, r&b, county, blues, and more. Some of the acts include Blues Traveler, Loverboy, Puddle of Mudd, Chaka Khan and Billy Currington.

Come hungry and sample some of finest cuisine from over 50 restaurants around Metro Detroit. Don't forget to stop by the bLOGINcafé.com tent to receive a free $1 food ticket just for posting a comment. Think of it as food for your thought.
